Japanese Reinvent The Boring Rubber Band With A Cute Twist!

Japanese mizuhiki, or ornamental knot tying, has truly made the leap into rubber, as they say. Yu Aso created Mizuhikiband throughout the period of more than 2 years and presented it at the Kokuyo Design Awards 2013. The main purpose was to represent this artwork from a foreigner-friendly perspective.

The Mizuhikiband comes in packages of 7 with 4 colors and can be purchased for 460 Yen at some point this October. This specific knot is named “Hanamusubi,” which is a butterfly knot for reoccurring festivities like birthdays. All you need to have is a creative mind on how to use them!
