Big ideas come from small things that everyone sees and overlooks. For instance, no one imagines what happens with the leftover crayons from schools, kindergartens and restaurants. He came up with this question while celebrating a birthday at a local restaurant, in 2011. The waiter tried to keep his son entertained, so he showed up with some crayons.
Where do they go then? Trash! This is how the Crayon Initiative came to life. The innovative dad gets the crayons, melts them down and recreates new and thicker crayons for kids with special needs. They are more durable and easier to grasp. Crayons are delivered to schools and hospitals.
