In London, a UK based initiative Café Art provided 100 disposable cameras to the homeless people to express their creativity through art and photography. The Royal Photographic Society after providing the basic training gave the theme of “My London” to the participants and told to take the photos on the theme.
Out of hundred cameras eighty cameras were returned with 2,500 photos. After a critical scrutiny only twenty photos were selected by the judges. There is a plan to prepare a 2016 calendar with these selected photographs. The money raised is used for the social cause and also to support the artists who cannot afford to develop their skills.
