Stephen Orlando, a photography artist from Ontario has managed to capture the beauty of music, literally! He uses LED lights to capture the motions of musicians playing different instruments assisted with long exposures.
The movements of the Cellists and Violinists were turned into beautiful coloured ways after Orlando attached the lights to the bows of the instruments before asking the players to play their respective instrument!
“A relative motion between the performer and camera must exist for the light trails to move through the frame,” said Orlando. “I found it easier to move the camera instead of the performer. Each photo is a single exposure and the light trails have not been manipulated in post processing”
