New statistics have revealed that Norway Police use their guns only when required and patrol unarmed most of the times, until unless they feel arms are absolutely necessary.
So, in 2014, reports say that the Norwegian Officers pulled out their guns just 42 times, the lowest in almost 12 years, and only two people were killed in the shootings.
This is really low when compared to police firings in the last 6 months in the US in the year 2015, where almost 547 have been killed, of which 503 have been killed by gunshots.
UK too has a low rate of gun usage. It is said that US policemen face a higher violence rate as compared to other developed countries, and hence the usage is more.
